Board Members for 2007-2008

			Krystal Lavigne Howell, CCR - President Krystal has been a court reporter for almost 14 years, having been certified in August of 1993.  She was a freelance court reporter in the Baton Rouge area from August of 1993 until June of 1999, when she became an official court reporter for the Nineteenth Judicial District Court.  Krystal previously served as the Secretary of VRLA from 2004 through 2006.
			Sharon Kaiser, CCR, RPR - Immediate Past President  Sharon has been a Registered Professional Reporter and Certified Court Reporter since 1988 in the Baton Rouge area.  She has been the owner of Kaiser Court Reporting since 1996.  Sharon previously served as the President of VRLA from 2004 through 2006.
			Sheri E. Young, CCR, CVR - Vice President Sheri is a freelance court reporter in the Lafayette area.  She is a member of NVRA and NCRA.  Sheri also serves as a trainer for the ProCAT software company and represents ProCAT at state association seminars in Arkansas, Mississippi, Missouri and Louisiana.  She has been reporting for five years and is the owner of Young Court Reporting.  Sheri previously served as a One-year Director of VRLA in 2006.
			Margie Betts, CCR, CVR - Secretary Margie has been a freelance court reporter in the Baton Rouge, Covington, New Orleans and Livingston Parish areas since certification in 2001.  She is a member of NVRA.  Margie previously served as Treasurer, One-year Director and Vice President of VRLA, and also served as an officer with LVRA.
			Estella Champion, CCR, RDR, RMR, CPR - Treasurer Estella has been working as a reporter in the state of Louisiana since 1976.  She is currently an official with the United States District Court in Baton Rouge, but has worked many years in the freelance field as well in the Baton Rouge area.  Estella served as an officer with CASRA, as well as VRLA, and is a member of the NCRA and USCRA.  She has presented several seminars for the court reporting profession dealing with realtime reporting and she has also represented Advantage Software as a sales representative.
			Tally Abraham, CCR, CVR - Three-year Director Tally has been a freelance court reporter in the Baton Rouge area since certification in 2001.  She is a member of NVRA, having received her CVR in 2001.  Tally previously served as Treasurer of VRLA.
			Suzette Magee, CCR, CVR - Two-year Director Suzette is an official court reporter for the Fifteenth Judicial District Court, having previously  worked as a freelance reporter for many years in the Lafayette and Baton Rouge areas.  She has worked with the AudioScribe Corporation since its inception in 1997 developing speech recognition for voice writers and has traveled across the United States and abroad teaching speech recognition to court reporters.  Suzette was the first voice writer to compete at Intersteno in Rome, where she placed second.  She currently serves as the Secretary for NVRA.
			Darlene Hicks, CCR - One-year Director Darlene has been a certified court reporter in the state of Louisiana since 1987, having owned and operated Baton Rouge Court Reporters, Inc. for the past 23 years. She is also a member of NCRA.
